Thick fog, cold breeze, extreme silence: just another day at the office for this Intha fisherman who wakes up every day at 3am to catch the best fishes at Inle Lake, Myanmar.
Surrounded by Laos, China and India, burmese Shan state is home to Intha people, renowned for their unique rowing style, where fishermen use one of their legs to propel their vessels.
Although they live at stilts across Inle Lake, they need to row for a long time until they find the best place for fishing.
Another day comes to an end to Intha people. It’s time to come back home, prepare the nets for the next days and get back in shape to one more day of work at Inle, in a non-stop cycle that repeats over and over again for the last centuries
